An HP Cloud Compute Unit (CCU) is a unit of CPU capacity that describes the amount of compute power that a virtual core has available to it. 6.5 CCUs are roughly equivalent to the minimum power of one logical core (a hardware hyper-thread) of an Intel(R) 2012 Xeon(R) 2.60 GHz CPU

Each Instance Type also includes a root partition which is not included in the ephemeral disk size specifications above. For ephemeral instances the root partition will be 10GB for the Extra Small flavor and 30GB for all other flavors. If you use a persistent instance, which utilizes a bootable block storage volume, then your root partition will be replaced by the size of the block volume created.

* Monthly estimates based on 730 hours of service. There are no minimums, and you pay only for what you use. To stop hourly charges, you must de-allocate your instance. As long as you have an allocated instance, that instance is yours and no one else can use those resources even when the instance is not running.

HP Cloud Compute Images

HP Cloud Compute Images (or Snapshots) that you create from your running instance are compressed and stored in HP Cloud Object Storage. You will be charged for these images according to the size of the image at the standard HP Cloud Object Storage rate of $0.09/GB per month.

HP Cloud Compute IP Addresses

Every instance comes with a private IP address, and you can add “floating” public IP addresses that can be assigned to your instances. You will be charged $0.01 per hour for any floating IP address that is added to your account but not currently assigned to an instance.

Compute Bandwidth Pricing

Compute bandwidth pricing is based on the amount of data you transfer out of HP Helion Public Cloud per month. Your first GB transferred out is free, and there are no charges for any transfer-in data. See non-CDN bandwidth pricing for details.

There are no minimum fees or long-term commitments, and you don’t have to worry about buying and maintaining physical hardware for your public cloud storage. Our pricing is based on the average amount of virtual storage used each month ($/GB/mo.), the amount of data transferred ($/GB/mo.), and the number of requests (Get, Put, Post, Copy, or List) made ($/10,000 requests).

HP Cloud CDN Bandwidth

Bandwidth pricing for HP Cloud CDN is based on the amount of data transferred out. There are no bandwidth charges for transferring data from HP Cloud Storage to the CDN.

Unique, Predictable CDN Pricing

Unlike other service providers, pricing for HP Cloud CDN is based on your billing address—not the location where the content is consumed. This is very different from how other providers assess charges. Our unique method makes it much easier to determine CDN bandwidth charges—it’s simply usage multiplied by the charges associated with your location. No more guesswork or unwelcome surprises at the end of the month if your content gets consumed by people in other countries.
